The Sultan Ring design is inspired by an oil painting of a Persian Sultan that captured Ana's attention during her visit to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The domed cabochon and ruby drop briolettes are evocative of the Sultan's turban and drop earrings worn in the portrait.
